I was tasked with a brief which asked me to share my position in graphic design in relation to diversity and inclusion. My outcome had to be limited to a single poster which could also be used in a digital space. I’m a strong believer that numbers can often have more impact than words, especially in a format where information is expected to be understood and consumed within a few seconds.
Through some research and more maths than I enjoy, I was able to come to the calculation that the design industry is made up of an average of 2.86% minority females.
Holding such importance to a single percentage, I wanted to create a poster where the dynamic of diversity in design spoke for itself.
